Description
The Sunflower, Four Stages
A bouquet of sunflowers in gold, orange, and a thread of blue — four heads at four stages of opening, from bud to full blaze.
In the language of flowers, the sunflower stands for adoration, loyalty, and a gaze that keeps turning toward the light. Four blooms in one vase are not a numbered romantic code the way a dozen roses can be. They tell a quieter story: the same devotion, caught at four moments of becoming — the bud, the half bloom, the full blossom, and the blazing form.
It feels less like a single cut flower and more like a small season held in a vase — still facing the window, still refusing to close.
Design Details
Every stem is built as a stage of the same flower: tight bud, opening head, full blossom, and the hotter, more open blaze. Golden petals carry the classic sunflower; orange and unexpected blue keep the bouquet from reading as a plain field flower.
Adjustable stems let the arrangement sit in a vase as a finished bouquet rather than a locked sculpture. Layered petals and mixed heights give the piece depth from different angles.
In the Room
Designed as a display piece for a desk, bookshelf, cabinet, or side table. Let it sit in a vase among books and quieter objects, or give it its own space where the gold can carry.
By day it reads as a sunflower. After dark the orange and blue keep it from disappearing. A bouquet that does not wait on a garden outside.
The Build
An evening you actually set aside — about 3–5 hours, or two shorter sittings. The pace is meant to be unhurried. Leave it out when you are done; it is furniture for the shelf, not something to pack away.
