Description
The Blue Roses
A dozen blue roses — layered petals, dark green stems, three stages of opening from bud to full bloom.
In the language of flowers, the blue rose is the one that does not occur in nature: mystery, the unattainable, a love that feels slightly impossible. Twelve is still the romantic standard — the default for most rose gifts, considered without being calculated, enough without being excessive. A dozen in blue keeps that meaning, only rarer.
It feels less like a field flower and more like a small impossible still life — the classic dozen, chosen in a color the garden will not grow.
Design Details
Twelve stems, each built as a stage of the same rose: tight bud, half bloom, and a fully opened head. Deep blue petals sit against dark green so the bouquet reads as a full dozen, not a single cut flower.
Adjustable stems and bud angles let the arrangement sit in a vase you already own — the set does not include one. Mixed heights keep the piece full from different angles.
In the Room
Designed as a display piece for a desk, bookshelf, cabinet, or side table. Place it in a vase among books, candles, and quieter objects, or give it its own space where the blue can carry.
By day the green keeps the roses readable; after dark the blue holds the shape. A bouquet that does not wait on a garden outside.
The Build
A short build. Most people finish in about 1–3 hours — one evening. No need to split it across days. When the last piece clicks, it is ready to display.
