Description
The Burgundy Arrangement
A mixed bouquet in burgundy, black, blue-purple, and lavender — roses set among lily, hellebore, black berries, and small lavender sprigs.
In the language of flowers, burgundy roses stand for a love already gone deep — unconscious beauty, richness, devotion more settled than bright red; hellebore for hope that still opens in the cold; lily for a quieter purity; lavender for calm and a steady attachment. Together they do not add up to a numbered romantic code. They read as a dark garden gathered in the hand: depth, a little mystery, a little stillness.
It feels less like one flower repeated and more like a gothic still life left on the table — burgundy as the thread, not the count.
Design Details
Roses carry the burgundy and black; lily and hellebore break the mass with different shapes; black berries and lavender fill the gaps so the bouquet reads as an arrangement, not a circle of identical heads.
Adjustable stems and movable leaves let the mix sit in a vase as a finished bouquet rather than a locked sculpture. Mixed bloom shapes and darker greens keep it full from different angles.
In the Room
Designed as a display piece for a desk, bookshelf, cabinet, or side table. Let it sit in a vase among books, candles, and quieter objects, or give it its own space where the wine-red and the black can carry.
By day the greens keep the bouquet readable; after dark the burgundy holds the shape. A bouquet that does not wait on a garden outside.
The Build
An evening you actually set aside — about 3–5 hours, or two shorter sittings. The pace is meant to be unhurried. Leave it out when you are done; it is furniture for the shelf, not something to pack away.
