Description
The Christmas Bouquet
A mixed winter arrangement — red roses, a green rose, snow-white Christmas roses, holly berries, pine, pinecones, and eucalyptus.
In the language of flowers, the red rose is love made visible; the Christmas rose (helleborus) is hope that still opens in the cold; holly is protection and a household kept; pine and pinecone are endurance, a green that does not leave when the year turns. Together they do not add up to a numbered romantic code. They read as midwinter gathered in the hand: warmth, shelter, a promise that the table stays dressed after the cut flowers would have dropped.
It feels less like a single rose repeated and more like a festive still life left out — a bouquet built for the season, not for a count.
Design Details
Roses sit at the center in red and green; white Christmas roses break the mass; holly berries, pine sprays, pinecones, and eucalyptus fill the gaps so the bouquet reads as an arrangement, not a circle of identical heads.
Adjustable stems and movable leaves let the mix sit in a vase as a finished bouquet rather than a locked sculpture. Mixed bloom shapes and winter greens keep it full from different angles.
In the Room
Designed as a display piece for a dining table, mantel, cabinet, or sideboard. Let it sit in a vase among candles and quieter objects through the winter weeks, or give it its own space where the red and the pine can carry.
By day the greens keep the bouquet readable; after dark the red holds the shape. A centerpiece that does not wait on a garden outside.
The Build
An evening you actually set aside — about 3–5 hours, or two shorter sittings. The pace is meant to be unhurried. Leave it out when you are done; it is furniture for the shelf, not something to pack away.
